Advantages
– Drugs are not at risk of freezing. – They have a more stable temperature curve (+ time between 4 C and 6 º C) even in front of changes in the external temperature. – If they enter the chamber from 2 º C to 8 º C, the PCMs recharge. – Compared with a traditional gel it is usually 15% lighter at the same volume of the container since it has a different density than a traditional gel. – More efficient use of space by not having to use thermal barriers to avoid freezing of medicines. In other words, the Zupeg validated systems have greater load capacity. – It takes less time in the freezer than a traditional gel for freezing. – PCM tends to use 1 configuration or at most 2 for the whole year, instead of 4 as traditional gels.
